Britney
Jean Spears is an American singer and entertainer. She was born on December 2,
1981 in Mississippi and raised in Louisiana. Spears first appeared on national
television in 1992 as a contestant on the Star Search program. She went on to
star in Disney Channel’s television series The New Mickey Mouse Club from 1993
to 1994. She began to audition for pop bands in New York area, her demo tapes
eventually landing on the desk of Jive Records’ Jeff Fenster. Her big break,
came when she was signed as a Jive Recording Artist in the late 90s. With the
release of her debut album, “…Baby One More Time” in early 1999, Britney became
an international success, selling 13 million copies of “Baby”.
